One way draw over a sliding door

You will need to use a track if you would like to use a one way draw over a sliding door.

A rod set has a centre bracket, this bracket will be in the way,

the rod cannot go that distance without a centre bracket, it

will sag.

Allow extra stack back space on the side where the curtain will be drawn if you are using a block out fabric, (if possible).

I prefer to use a corded track in this situation.

You will need to convert the cord to a one way draw.

If this sounds to difficult then use a hand drawn track.

The pinch pleat is best to use in this situation but the inverted, pencil pleat and S Wave will also be ok.

The ready made curtains will need to be joined to go the wider distance.

Make sure you train the fabric and leave the ties on for a few days.

Use some silicone spray in the track to make it easier for the runners to slide (spray away from any fabric, once you spray, wipe the track with a cloth to get rid of any excess oil).

Take out any excess runners as they use up valuable stack back space, I like to keep one spare runner at the end of the track for just in case.

The other difficulty with a store bought track is the join, the only way to get rid of that is to get a custom made track which can go up to 6m, you can get that make into a one way draw, then the cord can also be made into a one way draw, it will cost more but it will be so worth it.

Call me if you would like a custom made track.

One way draw inverted pleat curtain on a custom made Venice track, the curtain sits under this track.

This option is not available with a ready made track, on the ready made track the curtain sits in front of the track, the track is then partially hidden behind the curtain.

You can have a rod if you do a centre close, keep in mind that you need to clear most of the door way entrance, (a centre close is a curtain on each side of the window, that way you can have a centre bracket).
