CURTAINS OR BLINDS

I was listening to the radio the other day and they were asking people if they would choose curtains or

blinds in their homes.

It was fun to hear the replies.

Most people chose blinds, I can see why they would choose them because it is the easiest thing to do.

Others loved adding texture into a room with the use of curtains.

The radio hosts asked the question, is it ok to use blinds and curtains together?

The answer to that is YES

It is actually the modern thing to do.

New homes are built with large windows for maximum view and light, one way to dress these windows is to have custom made roller blinds for privacy and block out from the sun, some like the starkness of this look and are happy with just the blinds.

Blinds are a good base to build on, the urgency to cover your windows is gone and it is then easy to add sheers or curtains at your leisure later on.

If you wanted to add another layer to the room it is very nice to add some S Wave Curtains on a Modern Track to finish the look and to bring some softness into the room.

It is normal to use a sheer fabric for this look as sheer fabrics come in a continuous width which means that there will be no seams.

There are many variations of sheer fabrics to choose from if you are planning to get custom made curtains, some are sheer and see through others are thicker with more texture and will give you a little more privacy.

There are also lighter weight and wider block out fabrics coming on the market to accommodate the

S Wave heading.

If you are thinking of using ready made S Wave curtains then there is a range of basic colour's and fabrics to choose from.

The S Wave heading is uncomplicated and is so lovely to look at.

Have a look online at S Wave Curtains for lots of ideas and different variations.
