Pinch pleat curtain problem

HOW TO TRAIN THE BUCKRAM BETWEEN THE PLEATS OF A PINCH PLEAT CURTAIN

To make a pinch pleat sit better on a track you need to pinch (break) the buckram

from top to bottom in the middle of the two pleats.

Do this when you install the curtains, the end result is worth it.

Most buckram tape is relatively stiff and is easy to fold, it's similar to paper.

After you break the buckram the curtain heading will fold up more evenly as you open

and close your curtains and this will help to stop the heading from falling forward.

You need to break the buckram from top to bottom in the middle of the two pleats.

Some buckram tapes used in ready made curtains are very soft and impossible to fold,

in the past I have ironed in the fold which was quite successful,

(always check the fabric label for ironing instructions).
